Recently, according to Tianjin Internatio nal Joint Academy of Biomedicine, their overseas high-level innovative talent named Daniel AIT YAHIATENE (hereafter called Daniel) was rewarded with “2016 Haihe Friendship Award”. “Haihe Friendship Award” is the highest ho nor for the foreign experts in recognition of their outstanding co ntributions to the eco nomic and social developments for Tianjin City. The award was set up in 2006 and is bestowed o nce a year. Ten winners are determined through elections.

Daniel is a French laser expert, and one of the talents of the program called “The Recruitment Program for Foreign Experts” in China. In 2014, he gave up his plan to start his business in Zho ngguancun Science Park in Beijing, and turned to establish his company in Tianjin Internatio nal Joint Academy of Biomedicine. Currently, it is said that Daniel is leading a project to research and develop an innovative visually-improved system and equipment to help the patients with macular degeneration and retinopathy. His team has completed the industrial design of the products and the functio nal software improvement of the miniaturized prototypes. Ten preliminary prototypes has come out.
